Wider 2.5 mm center pin. Common on high-power laptops, audio gear, and 60W+ power bricks.

The 2.1 mm vs 2.5 mm Trap:A 5.5×2.5 mm plug will physically insert into a 5.5×2.1 mm jack, but the loose center pin will cause intermittent disconnections or sparks. A 5.5×2.1 mm plug will NOT slide onto a 2.5 mm pin.
Scenario A: Loose Connection

The plug slides into the socket without resistance. However, because the plug's center hole (2.5mm) is wider than the device's pin (2.1mm), the spring contact barely touches. Jiggling the cable causes intermittent power cuts, resets, and sparks.

The plug's inner hole (2.1mm) is too narrow to fit over the device's wider center pin (2.5mm). The plug refuses to push in all the way. Forcing it will bend, break, or snap the device's center pin off the circuit board.
