Voltage Calculator & Drop Analyzer
Voltage is a strict pressure parameter. Calculate whether a slight voltage discrepancy is safe (±5% tolerance) or evaluate DC cable resistance drop over long distances.
The adapter voltage is identical to the device specification. No overvoltage or undervoltage risk.

Engineering Rules for Voltage Matching
1. The Strict Voltage Rule
Unlike Amperage (where an adapter can have higher capacity), Voltage must be matched closely. Electronics are designed with maximum component voltage ratings. Exceeding voltage causes capacitor breakdown and burned silicon.
2. The ±5% Tolerance Rule
Most standard DC equipment includes internal switching or linear voltage regulators designed to absorb up to ±5% voltage variance without thermal distress or damage (e.g., 19.5V works safely on 19.0V laptops).
